Frequently Asked Questions

Q?

I found water in my home, what should I do?

A.

First, shut off the water at the source or at the water main. The main water shut off valve is usually located on an exterior wall in your basement, facing the street. Next, call Five Point Restoration at 801-566-1577. Our technicians are trained to quickly arrive and pinpoint the source, identify the extent of the damage, and solve the problem. We have all the newest instruments for diagnosing the cause and extent of water damage, and the right equipment to dry it all out. We will also apply an anti-microbial germicide to the affected area to ensure that mold doesn't become a problem down the road.

Q?

What if I want to upgrade during the repair process?

A.

Often, homeowners will want to take the opportunity of a disaster repair to upgrade flooring, cabinetry, countertops or wall coverings. If this is something you are interested in, don't hesitate to ask. We can help. We can even provide quotes for other home remodeling projects; regardless of whether or not an area was damaged by disaster. We can repair your property from foundation to roof; siding to plumbing.
